Microsoft Works
In addition to writing Vision Solutions’ website, I’m responsible for integrating and streamlining all messaging, including internal communications, email campaigns, social media, blogs, ebooks, events, and print communications, such as this Microsoft brochure.
Vision Solutions has been and continues to be a key Microsoft partner enabling near zero downtime migrations to Hyper-V and Microsoft Azure from VMware and AWS. This brochure was designed and written as a sell sheet or leave behind that also leverages Microsoft’s name recognition, while enhancing Vision Solutions' credibility among large enterprises.
MARKET SHARE
Market Share is a monthly newsletter designed to focus on key initiatives taking place within the marketing department that impact Vision Solutions’ business. With the exception of Marty’s Blog, the VP of Marketing’s monthly internal address, I’m responsible for ghostwriting all digital newsletter articles.
This communiqué also serves as an opportunity to “share” Vision Solutions’ marketing efforts with all employees—globally, while demonstrating success through articles, interviews, display ads, links to social media, links to press releases, events, resources, and other communications.
DOUBLE-TAKE
This integrated campaign served to address two international communications obstacles faced by Vision Solutions, the premier provider of software solutions designed to protect data centers.
1) A confidence issue: Research and studies showed that 80% of all IT professionals and business leaders surveyed had little confidence that their data centers could perform workload migrations without suffering downtime and/or loss of data.
2) A cultural issue: Although digital media and communications consumption has spiked significantly in Latin America, fact is, print continues to be the go-to medium for reaching those markets Vision Solutions has targeted throughout the Latin American region.
In addition to Latin America’s newspaper revenue projecting a growth rate of 5.5% per year through 2016, in 2009 magazine ad spend dropped in every region except for Latin America. Clearly, projections for Latin America’s significant print growth through 2016 could not be ignored.
The solution was to write an integrated campaign designed to make business leaders and IT professionals aware that: “Vision Solutions is the only company to deliver workload migrations, high availability, disaster recovery and data sharing–across multiple operating systems, on any hardware and in any physical, virtual or cloud-based environment.”
Additionally, to take advantage of Latin America’s thriving print communications medium, “performing near-zero downtime migration of data, applications and systems to significantly reduce cost, risk and resource requirements,” was a branding message that also had to be reinforced via the five part print side of this “Exceed All Expectations” campaign.
Integration also included: Kiosks, booths, magazines, display ads, web pages, SoMe and posters.
